Jaipur, June 24: Joraram Kumawat, the Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Gopalan, Dairy, and Devasthan Department, and the local MLA, conducted a surprise inspection of the newly established hi-tech nursery in Sindru village of the Pali assembly constituency. During his visit, the minister closely examined the modern amenities and the quality of the saplings being cultivated at the facility.

For over two decades, this Forest Department nursery had been lying in a severely dilapidated condition. Prioritizing the region’s environmental and developmental needs, the state government undertook a complete makeover of the site. Today, it stands transformed into a state-of-the-art hi-tech nursery, ready to directly benefit local farmers and boost the region’s green cover.

Revamped with Rs 80 Lakh, Capacity Tripled

During the inspection, Minister Kumawat shared that a budget of approximately Rs 80 lakh was utilized to modernize the entire facility. The comprehensively upgraded nursery now features a high-tech poly house, concrete (pucca) beds, a dedicated labor shed, and a farm pond to ensure a reliable water supply for irrigation.

Furthermore, keeping in mind the massive local demand for saplings, the operational area of the nursery has been increased threefold. Previously confined to just 1 hectare, the facility now spans across a sprawling 3 hectares.

One Lakh Subsidized Saplings for the Monsoon

Reiterating that environmental conservation is the state government’s top priority, Shri Kumawat announced a major initiative for the upcoming monsoon season. The hi-tech nursery will distribute around one lakh saplings of advanced plant varieties—including Neem, Mulberry, indigenous Babul, Jamun, Ber, and Amaltas—to local villagers at highly subsidized rates.

The minister issued strict directives to the departmental officers and staff to ensure there is zero compromise on the quality of the plants. Saplings nurtured using high-tech methods inside the poly house are specifically designed to grow efficiently even with minimal water consumption.

Conclusion

The establishment of this advanced nursery in Sindru has sparked massive enthusiasm among local villagers and environment lovers. This facility will significantly accelerate the state’s afforestation campaigns, ensuring that farmers and the general public have easy, localized access to high-quality, resilient plants for a greener tomorrow.
