<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Jaipur:</strong> In view of the upcoming monsoon season, the <a href="https://www.missionkiawaaz.com/rajasthan-polices-traffic-strike-triggers-panic-over-50000-vehicles" id="https://www.missionkiawaaz.com/rajasthan-polices-traffic-strike-triggers-panic-over-50000-vehicles">Rajasthan</a> state government has fully geared up its administrative machinery to effectively tackle potential natural disasters like heavy rainfall, floods, and waterlogging. On Thursday, June 11, 2026, a high-level review meeting on pre-monsoon preparations was held at the Government Secretariat, chaired by the Minister for Disaster Management, Relief, and Civil Defence, <strong>Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena</strong>, and Minister of State, <strong>Shri Otaram Dewasi</strong>. The government has unequivocally stated that &#8216;Public Safety&#8217; remains its topmost priority.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Control Rooms to Operate Round-the-Clock from June 15</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the meeting, Dr. Meena emphasized that early warning and rapid response are the foundations of successful disaster management.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>All disaster control rooms established at the state and district levels will become <strong>active 24&#215;7 starting June 15</strong>.</li>



<li>Social media, SMS, and WhatsApp groups will be utilized effectively for the immediate dissemination of weather warnings issued by the IMD.</li>



<li>All officials have been strictly instructed to download the <strong>&#8216;Sachet App&#8217;</strong> to stay updated with real-time weather alerts.</li>



<li>A dedicated <strong>&#8216;Weather Watch Group&#8217;</strong> has been constituted to regularly monitor rainfall status, assess potential risks, and review ongoing preparations.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Strict Instructions for Coordinated Departmental Action</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To ensure that relief and rescue operations are effectively executed on the ground, specific responsibilities have been assigned to various departments:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Water Resources &amp; Local Bodies:</strong> Ensure the repair and maintenance of gates on all dams and anicuts. Drainage systems must be cleared, and adequate pump sets, generators, and sandbags must be kept ready in areas prone to waterlogging.</li>



<li><strong>Medical &amp; Health Department:</strong> Operate 24&#215;7 control rooms, maintain sufficient stocks of life-saving drugs, and keep Mobile Medical Teams on standby to prevent waterborne and infectious diseases.</li>



<li><strong>Energy &amp; PWD:</strong> Ensure an uninterrupted power supply with backup heavy-duty generators. Identify dilapidated buildings and install proper warning signs at risky locations like railway underpasses and flood-prone zones.</li>



<li><strong>Animal Husbandry &amp; Food Supply:</strong> Ensure adequate arrangements for animal fodder, medicines, and vaccinations. Ensure advance stocking of essential food grains and relief materials in highly sensitive and vulnerable areas.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Three-Tier Flood Management and Rescue Team Deployment</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <a href="https://www.missionkiawaaz.com/financial-boost-for-rajasthan-government" id="https://www.missionkiawaaz.com/financial-boost-for-rajasthan-government">government</a> has prepared a three-tier action plan for flood management: pre-flood preparation, relief and rescue during the disaster, and post-flood rehabilitation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To ensure rapid response during emergencies, forces including the <strong>SDRF, NDRF, Army, Air Force, Police, Civil Defence, and Home Guards</strong> have been put on high alert. Additionally, the availability of expert divers, life jackets, rescue boats, and ropes is being strictly ensured.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Minister of State Shri Otaram Dewasi reiterated that the state government&#8217;s primary goal is to minimize the loss of life and property through early warnings and time-bound preparations. He instructed all departments to work in perfect synchronization and strengthen the communication network down to the village level.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor, <strong>Shri Haribhau Bagde</strong>, addressed the 9th Convocation of Agriculture University, Kota, on Wednesday, describing agricultural education as the true backbone of the Indian economy. During the grand ceremony held at the State Institute of Agriculture Management (SIAM) Auditorium in Jaipur, the Governor conferred degrees upon students and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Agricultural Education: The Foundation of Self-Reliant India</strong></h4>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In his keynote address, the Governor emphasized that a vast majority of India&#8217;s population still relies on farming and animal husbandry for their livelihood. Highlights of his speech included:</p>

<li><strong>Food Security and Productivity:</strong> He noted that food security and self-reliance can only be achieved by increasing crop productivity through specialized agricultural education.</li>

<li><strong>Inaugurations:</strong> A Seed Processing Plant and the new Academic Block at the College of Agriculture, Ummedganj.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Agriculture and Horticulture Minister <strong>Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena</strong> congratulated the graduates, stating that the true purpose of knowledge is to serve society and the nation. Highlighting the fact that only 35-40% of the state&#8217;s cultivable land is currently irrigated, he urged young professionals to contribute to water conservation and irrigation expansion.</p>

<li><strong>Total Degrees:</strong> 358 (Faculties of Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry).</li>
