New Delhi: The issue of NEET aspirants dying by suicide due to the paper leak controversy and the resulting mental distress is intensifying across the country. The satirical youth group ‘Cockroach Janta Party‘ has taken a firm stand on this tragedy, demanding compensation for the victim’s families and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

This demand is gaining significant traction on social media, with many citizens calling for immediate accountability from the government.

Abhijeet Dipke’s ‘Open Letter’ to the Prime Minister

On the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Abhijeet Dipke shared an ‘Open Letter’ directly appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take cognizance of the matter. He wrote:

Key Highlights of the Report

Demand for ₹1 Crore Compensation: The Cockroach Janta Party has demanded that the government provide ₹1 crore in financial assistance to the family of every student who lost their life due to the stress caused by the paper leak.

Resignation of Education Minister: Holding the Ministry of Education responsible for the systemic failure, the group has demanded the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Death Toll of 11 Students: Media reports confirm that at least 11 NEET aspirants have died by suicide across states like Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.

Stress of Re-exams: Families allege that their children had spent years preparing for the exam, but could not withstand the sudden mental pressure created by the paper leak and the re-examination scheduled for June 21.

Peaceful Rally at Jantar Mantar on June 20

To seek justice for the students and bring their demands to the national stage, the Cockroach Janta Party has called for a peaceful rally at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on June 20. The rally is expected to see participation from students, parents, and activists from across the country.

Stance of Police and Critics

While the youth organization holds the failure of the examination system directly responsible for these deaths:

Police Investigation: The police are investigating these cases individually and have not officially linked these suicides directly to the ‘paper leak.’

Questions by Critics: Some critics are questioning the motives of the satirical group, suggesting that this sensitive issue might be used merely to gain attention.

This entire episode has transcended the boundaries of a simple examination irregularity and has become a major national question regarding student mental health and systemic accountability. It remains to be seen how the government responds to this protest and the growing demands.

Lucknow: Youth outrage over alleged irregularities and paper leaks in competitive examinations is intensifying across the country. In Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow, students are staging a massive sit-in protest at the Eco Garden against the alleged rigging of the NEET-UG 2026, SSC GD, and UPPSC exams. The movement gained fresh momentum late Thursday night when 30-year-old Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the ‘Cockroach Janta Party‘ (CJP), arrived in the city to join the peaceful demonstration.

The NEET-UG 2026 Controversy Explained

The NEET-UG examination held on May 3rd became the center of a massive controversy after allegations surfaced that 120 questions exactly matched a leaked ‘guess paper’. Following the exposure of these massive irregularities, the exam was canceled. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently conducting a thorough probe into the matter, with the role of several prominent coaching institutes also under the scanner.

Primary Demands of the Students:

A transparent re-examination (Re-exam) for NEET-UG 2026.

The immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Strict legal action against the culprits and a complete overhaul of the examination system to ensure transparency.

“Will Go to the Police Station Myself”: Abhijeet Dipke

Abhijeet Dipke appeared to be in action mode right from his arrival at the Lucknow airport. A video of his arrival was widely shared on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). Clarifying his stance, Dipke stated that he had come to participate in the peaceful protest against the Education Minister at the Eco Garden. Sending a strong message to the administration, he declared, “If the local police admin refuses permission to the youth, he will personally go to the police station and request the police to give permission.”

CJP Founder @abhijeet_dipke arrives at Lucknow Airport to participate in a peaceful protest at Eco Garden today against the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

If the local police admin refuses permission to the youth, he will personally go to the police station and request…
— Cockroach is Back (@Cockroachisback) June 12, 2026

What is the ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ (CJP)?

Founded in May 2026, the CJP was born out of outrage over a controversial remark where the Chief Justice of India (CJI) allegedly referred to unemployed youths as “cockroaches.” Turning this insult into their strength, the youth formed this political front. Currently, the CJP is spearheading a nationwide movement against flaws in the education system, paper leaks, and rising youth unemployment. Following successful protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and Pune, the movement is now expanding to cities like Lucknow, Amritsar, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Jaipur.

The Ground Reality of the Protest

This student movement is a prime example of digital-age mobilization, primarily organized through WhatsApp groups. However, some local students at the protest site have expressed concerns that the involvement of a political organization like the CJP might politicize their pure student-led movement.

Despite these concerns and a heavy deployment of police forces, the protest at the Eco Garden continues peacefully. The local administration and police are keeping a close watch on the situation, while Dipke’s presence has undeniably amplified the youths’ voices on a national level.
