Within a few days, the media and fact-check teams exposed the truth of this video. The investigation revealed that the video was not real, but was created using AI-based deepfake technology.

Kajal’s face was superimposed on another woman’s video, making it appear real. According to tech experts, the software used was so advanced that it was nearly impossible to distinguish between the real and the fake.

Police investigation and further action

The local cyber cell has taken this matter seriously and has launched an investigation. Police say those spreading the video are being identified and efforts are underway to access the technical network that created the deepfake.If found guilty, strict action will be taken against them under the IT Act.
