Heavy Casualties Reported in Lebanon

Lebanon has suffered significant losses amid the ongoing strikes. According to figures released by the Lebanese government, at least 52 people have been killed and 154 others injured in Israeli attacks. Earlier reports from the Health Ministry had listed 31 fatalities and 149 injured, but the numbers have since risen.

Lebanon’s Disaster and Management Unit stated that bombings in southern and eastern parts of the country, as well as in the southern suburbs of Beirut, have forced more than 28,500 people to flee their homes. Rescue operations and emergency relief efforts are continuing as authorities assess the damage.

In a separate but related development, an Indian national has lost his life amid the broader conflict. The incident occurred near the coast of Muscat province in the Gulf of Oman, where an oil tanker was targeted. Reports indicate that an explosive-laden boat collided with the vessel, sparking a major fire.

All 21 crew members aboard the tanker were rescued, but one individual succumbed to injuries. Officials have now confirmed that the deceased was of Indian origin.

U.S. Diplomatic Services Suspended in Pakistan

Due to heightened security concerns, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, along with its consulates in Lahore and Karachi, has canceled all visa appointments through Friday, March 6. Authorities cited the current security environment in Pakistan as the reason for the temporary suspension of services.
