As the cricket world gears up for the IPL 2026 mini-auction, all ten franchises have officially confirmed the purse amount they will carry into the event. With retention lists finalised and several big names released, teams now stand at different levels of financial flexibility, which is expected to shape their buying strategy.

Here is a complete breakdown of how much money each franchise has left after finalising their squads for the auction:

Mumbai Indians – ₹2.75 crore

Mumbai Indians enter the auction with the smallest purse. The franchise has released several overseas players along with a few uncapped Indian names, leaving them with limited room to make major moves. Their strategy will likely focus on specific role-based signings rather than blockbuster purchases.

Punjab Kings – ₹11.5 crore

Punjab Kings have freed up some space by letting go of multiple international players. Although their budget isn’t large, it is enough to target a few impactful additions that can strengthen their middle order and bowling lineup.

Gujarat Titans – ₹12.9 crore

Gujarat have a moderate purse, having released a mix of all-rounders, pacers, and domestic talents. Their remaining budget suggests they might aim for one or two specialist match-winners to bolster their core group.

Rajasthan Royals – ₹16.05 crore

Rajasthan have moved on from several bowlers and all-rounders, leaving them with a decent budget. The team is expected to prioritize solidifying its spin department and adding experienced finishers.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru – ₹16.4 crore

RCB come into the auction with a reasonably balanced purse. Their release list suggests they may be looking to rebuild both their middle order and pace attack, aiming for reliable performers rather than high-risk signings.

Delhi Capitals – ₹21.8 crore

Delhi have one of the healthier budgets this season, thanks to releasing several big names. With this amount, they could target one marquee player along with a mix of role-specific domestic options.

Lucknow Super Giants – ₹22.9 crore

Lucknow have also freed up substantial purse space. Their releases indicate an intent to refresh both batting depth and bowling balance, giving them flexibility to go after specialist pacers or power-hitters.

Sunrisers Hyderabad – ₹25.5 crore

Hyderabad now hold a strong budget after releasing several players across categories. This puts them in a good position to address gaps in their batting order and death-overs bowling.

Chennai Super Kings – ₹43.4 crore

CSK have one of the biggest purses this year after parting ways with ten players, including several key names. With such a large amount, the franchise could dominate the auction table and go after both marquee players and young talents.

Kolkata Knight Riders – ₹64.3 crore

KKR sit at the top with the highest purse among all teams. Their aggressive clear-out suggests a complete re-shaping of the squad, and they now have the financial strength to secure multiple top-tier players and redefine their team combination. KKR are expected to be one of the most active teams during the auction.
