Karauli, Rajasthan : The village development camp organized in the Amargarh tehsil under the Sapotra sub-division, within the jurisdiction of the land records inspector, is writing a new chapter of prosperity. During the camp, soil health cards were distributed to farmers in the area through the coordinated efforts of the agriculture department and the local administration.
These cards will prove crucial in reducing farming costs and increasing yields in the future. A farmer who received the card said that previously, they used fertilizers in their fields without any scientific basis, which not only increased costs but also affected the fertility of the land. The soil health card is not just a piece of paper, but a report card for the farmer’s land.
It will tell us which nutrients the soil needs, thus helping us avoid unnecessary expenses. This effort to bring government schemes directly to the farmers’ fields through the village development camp is commendable.
