Sapotra ( karauli ) –Ahead of the assembly by-elections in Rajasthan’s Karauli district, prominent young independent leader Naresh Meena appears to be facing trouble. During a Mahapanchayat held in Jodli Gram Panchayat in the Sapotra subdivision on November 21st, Meena allegedly made derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Vikas Singh, co-convener of the BJP’s district legal cell, filed a complaint, following which the police have registered a case.
Controversial statement against the Dungri Dam
Thousands of farmers and villagers participated in this Mahapanchayat, organized to protest the construction of the Dungri Dam under the Ram Jal Setu Link Project (PKC-ERCP). From the stage, Naresh Meena warned that if the dam construction work began, a “do-or-die battle” would be waged to stop it, and that measures such as stopping trains would be taken if necessary. During this, he allegedly made derogatory remarks against the Prime Minister and Chief Minister, which escalated the matter.
Vikas Singh’s allegation – Attempt to tarnish the image
Vikas Singh alleged in his complaint that Naresh Meena used derogatory language against leaders holding constitutional positions, which not only affected their personal image but also hurt the dignity of these positions. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and have now begun an investigation.

The entire incident at the Mahapanchayat went viral on social media in the form of a video, further fueling the controversy against Naresh Meena. The police are now conducting a further investigation based on this video and complaint.
