Newly Married Woman Dies in Tijara; Family Alleges Harassment by In-Laws

A newly married woman named Meenu Saini died under suspicious circumstances in Tijara, Rajasthan. Her family has accused her in-laws of domestic violence and mental harassment. Meenu was married just a month ago and had been sent to her in-laws’ house recently.

Background

Both Meenu and her elder sister Reena were married into the same family in 2022, to Rinku Saini and Rahul Saini respectively. Reena alleges that Meenu was often given medicine without food and was physically assaulted. She also claimed that she too faced similar mistreatment and recently returned to her parents’ house.

Death and Medical History

According to Meenu’s husband Rinku Saini, she had been suffering from a stomach-related illness for over ten days. Her health suddenly deteriorated, and she was admitted to Alwar District Hospital, where she died during treatment.

Police Statement

Tijara SHO Mahendra Singh confirmed that Meenu’s family has submitted a complaint against her husband and other in-laws. The body has been sent for autopsy, and the case is under investigation. Legal action will proceed based on the post-mortem report and family’s statement.
