Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh High Court has granted bail to Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in the alleged multi-crore liquor scam case in the state. After nearly 168 days, the path to his release has been cleared.
This relief was granted in cases filed by the Enforcement Directorate and the Economic Offences Wing. Senior advocate N. Hariharan appeared on behalf of Chaitanya Baghel, assisted by advocates Mayank Jain, Harshvardhan, Parganiha, and Madhur Jain.
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel said on the release of his son, Chaitanya Baghel,
“The High Court has granted bail to Chaitanya Baghel in both cases… This is a victory for truth. Truth can be troubled but not defeated. So, this is a big relief from the High Court.”
