Singer Gunjan Singh FIR : A case has been filed in the Hajipur Civil Court in Vaishali against popular Bhojpuri singer Gunjan Singh and more than eight members of his team. The complaint was filed by a local resident, Sant Kumar.
The complainant, Sant Kumar, alleges that Gunjan Singh’s Bhojpuri song and its video album contain objectionable scenes depicting a person dressed as a judge accepting bribes.
He argued in court that the song misrepresents the character of women, particularly girls. Furthermore, he claimed that the lyrics and visuals attempt to tarnish the dignity of the judicial system, the courts, and the judges.
Sant Kumar stated that such songs mislead society, damaging the image of girls and raising questions about the dignity of the courts and judges. This is why he was compelled to seek legal recourse.
The court took cognizance of the complaint and recognized the seriousness of the matter. The Hajipur Cyber Police Station has been directed to investigate the video and register a First Information Report (FIR) based on the findings. The lawyer stated that the matter is now under judicial process and further action will be taken after the police investigation.
