Is it a crime to speak out for the people?
The biggest question is: when major media organizations in the country are unable to reach every village and street, will such crimes against local journalists and YouTubers continue? Will local YouTubers who raise the voice of their region continue to be assaulted and killed?
One of the shortcomings among the public is that they are not seen to stand with those who raise their voices, so no one comes forward to raise their voices. In fact, digital media is performing better than any newsroom, and people are able to raise their voices openly.
People should understand that the public should support those who raise their voices at any level; it is not a crime.
Conclusion: The assault on Vikas Sahu is a condemnable incident that should never happen in a democratic country. The government and administration should take legal action against the perpetrators of the assault as soon as possible and put them behind bars and entrust them with the responsibility of protecting Vikas Sahu’s life. This is a step where the criminal will protect his life out of fear.
