India vs West Indies test series :
The outcome of the ongoing Test series between India and the West Indies is now almost certain. India is very close to victory in the second Test, and now only formalities remain. India had a target of 121 runs to achieve, and by the end of Monday’s day’s play, they were 63 for 1. Thus, India needs just 58 more runs and is on its way to winning the Test match and completing a 2-0 clean sweep of the West Indies.
With this impressive victory, India, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, will move closer to second-placed Sri Lanka in the WTC rankings.
After a crushing defeat to the West Indies in the first Test, India’s performance in the World Test Championship (WTC) has been satisfactory so far. India has won three out of six matches, drawn one, and lost two. Currently, after the fourth day of the second Test, India is in third place in the WTC Championship with 40 points and a win percentage of 55.56.
India is now eyeing to strengthen its position in the WTC rankings by winning this match.
