Indian Army Jawan brutally assaulted in Meerut while he was returning to duty, 6 arrested

Meerut ( Uttarpradesh ) : The case of assault on an Indian Army soldier at Meerut’s Bhuni toll has gained momentum. The police have taken cognizance of the incident and arrested six people. After the incident, hundreds of villagers reached the toll plaza on Wednesday and vandalized it. They broke the toll booth and uprooted the boom.

What happened?

A video went viral on Monday night, in which some people were seen assaulting a person. This person was an Indian Army soldier, who was returning from his duty. Police investigation revealed that this soldier, whose name is Kapil, had a tussle with the toll workers over something.

SSP Vipin Tanda said, “When the police reached the spot and investigated, it was found that the plaintiff party is a soldier. He had a fight with the toll workers, after which the toll workers beat up the soldier. Looking at the seriousness of the matter, we registered a case against the accused and arrested 6 people on the basis of the video.”

Kapil bravery and pain

Kapil is an Indian Army soldier and recently played an important role in Operation Sindoor. When he was returning home, he faced a dispute with the toll workers. Kapil’s father and brother had appealed to the goons posted at the toll that their son was going to leave home soon to join his duty and wanted to leave early for fear of missing the flight. Despite this, the toll workers brutally beat him up.

Villagers’ anger

Hundreds of villagers, angry with Kapil’s beating, protested fiercely at the Bhuni toll plaza. They damaged several properties of the toll plaza and broke the toll boom. The villagers have demanded strict action against the toll workers and demanded justice in this matter.

Now the police have registered a case and further action is underway. This incident has raised the question that how the violent behavior of toll workers is increasing and strict action needs to be taken against it.
