Air India Express flight IX-196, scheduled to depart from Dubai to Jaipur on June 13 at 7:25 PM, turned into a distressing ordeal for over 150 passengers. Due to a technical fault, the flight was delayed by more than five hours, finally taking off at 12:44 AM and reaching Jaipur at 2:44 AM on June 14.

During this time, passengers were made to sit inside the aircraft without air conditioning. No water, snacks, or basic facilities were provided. The cabin was reportedly suffocating, and several passengers, including children, were drenched in sweat and discomfort.

Social media influencer Arzoo Sethi, who was traveling with her 3-year-old son, captured the scenes inside the aircraft and shared them online, calling it a horrifying experience. She criticized the airline for its mismanagement and lack of empathy toward passengers’ needs.

Passengers repeatedly pressed the call button, but no cabin crew responded. Many questioned why they weren’t allowed to wait in the airport terminal instead of being held in extreme conditions inside the aircraft.

Another passenger, Ravi Kumar, described the ordeal as “torture”, stating that the air was stifling and basic necessities like water were not provided. The passengers have urged the Indian government to take strict action against the airline for endangering passenger safety.

This incident has sparked widespread outrage and raised serious concerns about airline accountability and passenger welfare.
